Description
The full name of the pigment used in this paint is Benzimidazolone Carmine. The Benzi pigments are considered first class – highly regarded for lightfastness, color strength and stability. Benzi Carmine does not dry as fast as the iron oxides, but is significantly faster than the alizarin madder pigments – and is considered a permanent replacement. Benzi Carmine is slightly darker in value than alizarin crimson but very similar in hue, and is highly staining. CI:Pr176
