Description
Mars Black is sometimes called Black Iron Oxide, and because it is an iron oxide it drys very quickly, much more quickly than Ivory Black. The pigment we use in this particular Mars Black is one of the highest quality iron oxides available in the world. It has high color strength, and works well with a diversity of mediums and resins. It has great permanence, excellant lightfastness, and is slightly less glossy than Ivory Black. Mars black is a great color for producing more neutral grays and blacks that are not as intense as Ivory.
