Description
This colour comes from the region of Prun, near Verona Italy. In fact it is sometimes called “prun green land” from the region where it is extracted. The pigment is a milled and purified natural earth – very permanent and lightfast, and is not affected by ultraviolet light. The larger particle size results in a more diverse reflective look than usually found with manufactured pigments. The mean particle size is actually 15.3314 µm – ten times larger than other common pigments. This colour is also sometimes called Green Earth. The raw mineral is ground in tumblers with steel balls, resulting in an unusual and highly useful colour!
