WORKS OF ART ARE NOT FROZEN IN TIME!

This idea of interaction with art is in contrast to the idea we sometimes have that great works of art are like jewels needing protection and storage in a safe, well-guarded, humidity controlled environment, much like a bank vault protecting it from the public. A strong case could be made that all art is this way – evolving and interacting with the community – and that is probably a good thing.  Perhaps all art expresses the ongoing desires and aspirations of people as they live their lives.  Sounds like a great topic for the anthropologists and sociologists!
